The authors analyzed the architecture and coordination mechanisms of an oceanic data acquisition and transmission system and developed a design scheme for Agent behavior in such a multi-Agent system. This included principles of task decomposition, communication mechanisms and choices of Agent design routes. As a result, the multi-Agent system can solve data transmission problems in a complex environment using a multi-handshake protocol and multisend addresses. A multilayer design concept with multithreading was also introduced in the system.
