
¡¡¡¡Dai Qionghai is an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering. He serves as Dean of the School of Information Science and Technology at Tsinghua University, Director of the Beijing National Research Center for Information Science and Technology, and Chairman of the Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence. He is also a nationally recognized high-level researcher and the recipient of the 2017 National Innovation Forefront Award. His primary research areas include artificial intelligence (particularly stereo vision) and computational photography. He has long been committed to theoretical research and key technological innovation in these fields. He has presided over and participated in projects under the National Program on Key Basic Research and the National Major Scientific Instruments and Equipment Development Program of the National Natural Science Foundation of China. He has successfully developed multidimensional, multiscale computational photography instruments, which are expected to become important tools for research in brain science and tumor metastasis. His honors include the Second Prize of the National Award for Science and Technology Progress (2016), the First Prize of the National Award for Technological Invention (2012), and the Second Prize of the National Award for Technological Invention (2008).
