Superresolution reconstruction is an important problem in image processing and computer graphics. This paper introduces key mathematical principles and the latest progress in learningbased superresolution. Several typical artificial intelligent techniques, such as support vector machines, manifold learning, independent component analysis and so on, were analyzed. Finally, areas meriting further investigation were outlined.
