ZigBee 2007 offers full wireless mesh networking capable of supporting more than 64,000 devices on a single wireless sensor network. Due to immature markets and technology, a deployment with hundreds of thousands of nodes does not exist at present. By using the OMNeT++ simulation IDE, a simulation model of a largescale network according to the ZigBee 2007 protocol was created which aimed at providing a reference model for deploying a largescale sensor network. The model implemented the networking and routing functions of the network layer and medium access control layer according to the ZigBee 2007 protocol, and successfully established an adhoc network while transmitting data internally. For these reasons, it can be used for the study of deploying a largescale ZigBee network.
