- Abstract:

Recently, artificial neural networks (ANN), artificial immune systems (AIS), and artificial endocrine systems (AES) have been inspired respectively fr om neural systems, immune systems, and endocrine systems. The neuroendocrine im mune network composed of these three systems plays an important role in maintain ing homeostasis in biological systems. A new scheme for computational intelligen ce is proposed by integrating ANN, AIS, and AES into a “bionetwork architectu r e”. The important research direction and ideas on its theory and application ar e discussed to better satisfy the application requirements of computational inte lligence for complex systems.
