Abstract:
The universal approximation of fuzzy systems is an important direction of fuzzy theory. At present, a lot of progress has been made in the research fo r the universal approximation of fuzzy systems. In this paper, a survey of the u niversal approximation of fuzzy systems, the sufficient and necessary condition for fuzzy systems as universal approximators, and approximation accuracy of fuzz y sy stems etc is made in details. The achievement and properties (including ad vantages and disadvantages) of each method are also analyzed, and then the probl ems of the universal approximation of fuzzy systems in future researches are poi nted out further.
